One year ago, we at ScienceOnlineDC held an open town hall discussion to determine what the focus for our community (in terms of events) should be for 2014, using as our framework the issue of what essential communication skills scientists need. Based on the feedback received from all of you, we hosted a series of events in which we discussed, debated, and analyzed different tools for online science communication:
Our discussions brought to light a series of conclusions and best practices for each of these outlets. But…what do we do next?
To answer that question, we invite you to join us on Wednesday, March 11, from 5:30-7:30 PM to share your insight about the direction of ScioDC. We will review what we learned in 2014, figure out what gaps in our knowledge still remain, and determine what concepts and issues to focus on going forward, in 2015 and beyond.
Come be a part of our discussion and help shape the direction of our ever-growing community! Use the link below to register, and we’ll see you there!
